PARENTS' NIGHT OUT
Get some holiday shopping done or spend a quiet night out while the eighth grade team (and their parents) entertain your school-aged children.  Twenty dollars/child for four hours of freedom.  Please use this link to sign up:  https://goo.gl/forms/k5YLyJeblmHTxbxg1
Only school-aged children please.

Children can bring pillows, blankets, stuffed animals and games.  Crafts, games and videos will be shown. Please send your child with dinner or snacks.  Popcorn will be available for $1.00/bag.

The Monroe County School District is conducting a study of school start times with the possibility of adjusting times to align better with research on child development and adolescent sleep needs.  Though we are not bound to follow the District's start times, we'd like this information to analyze our own times.  You can take the 5 minute survey by clicking on: SCHOOL START TIME SURVEY.
The deadline for completing the survey is Dec. 22nd. Thank you.

NUTCRACKER! (Grades 1-8)
We are finalizing plans for our adventure to the Nutcracker on Thursday afternoon.  Thank you for filling out the permission slip; this final form is what we need to allow your child to travel with us.  Because this trip is complicated by multiple means of transportation, there will be several emails related to the excursion.  All students in grades 1-4 will be transported by trolley.  All students in grades 5-8 will be transported in private vehicles.  Students in grades 5-8 who stay back will be working on schoolwork.

If you volunteered to drive, please be patient as we await the final permission slips.  We'll let you know who you will be transporting as soon as possible.

SCS has reserved the entire theater (480 seats) so we welcome parent chaperones on the trip.   Please communicate with your child's teacher if you are interested in attending.  We ask that you help us prioritize safety by allowing your child to travel to and from the theater as planned.  Please DO NOT take your child with you unless he/she is designated to travel in your car.  All carpools will return to Sigsbee for dismissal.  It's going to be a great show featuring many of our talented students!

NEED VOLUNTEER HOURS?
Wrapping paper:
The 8th grade class is looking for donations of quality wrapping paper for their gift wrapping fund raiser this month.  Donations of new wrapping paper will be awarded volunteer hours.  Please bring your wrapping paper and receipts to the main office ($20= 1 hour).
Wrapping paper is due by Thursday, December 15th.

Sunset Cruise:
Our adult-only sunset sail has been rescheduled to accommodate busy schedules.  Please help the graduating class raise funds for their trip by purchasing cruise tickets for yourself, friends, colleagues or as holiday gifts.  The cost is $40/ticket.  You will receive 2 hours of volunteer service for each ticket.  This is a great teacher holiday gift!

NEW DATE!!!!!  Wednesday, January 25th (perfect holiday gift)
