PARENT DISCUSSION GROUP ON TEEN HELP BOOKS
We've had a great response to our Parent Book Club and have scheduled 4 different opportunities for parents who are interested in accessing the discussions. You are welcome to join the conversation even if you haven't read the books. Did you miss the deadline to order your own copies? Email Mrs. Jannes (eli.jannes@sigsbee.org) and she will put in another order when we return from break.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITY OPPORTUNITY
MIDDLE SCHOOL ROBOTICS CLUB (Tuesdays 3:15-5:00 PM)
with Mr. Fisher
Who: 6th - 8th graders (If the club reaches capacity then a lottery will be done to select participants)
When: Club Meetings will be on Tuesdays, starting January 30th, and will run from 3:15 - 5:00 each Tuesday.
Where: Rm 26 - GWing

Student/Parent Commitment & Expectations
Participation
- Students are expected to be active participants in the Sigsbee Robotics Club, and on their team.
- Students are expected to attend at least 75% of the Sigsbee Robotics Club meetings.
- Parents are expected to arrange for transportation and pick up students from club promptly at 5:00 pm.
Teamwork
- Students will be allowed to make team recommendations, but Mr. Fisher will provide final approval.
- Students are expected to work in a positive and productive way, as a team, to build their robot.
- Students are expected to be open to teammates’ ideas, and encourage participation by all teammates.
- During meetings and practices students are expected to be focused and productive, and should not distract teammates from their objectives.
- Students are expected to work with Mr. Fisher to set goals and continuously work to improve their robot.
- Students are responsible that all aspects of their robot are documented in the team’s engineering notebook.
Dues
The Sigsbee Robotics Club dues for 2018 are $15 per Student. Fees are non-refundable.
