Safety and Security Drill: Friday
As part of our safety procedures and state mandates, we will be introducing new school safety drills at school.  On Friday, October 26th, we will be talking to students about appropriate reactions if they were to see a stranger on campus.  The is a discussion only and will be a classroom dialogue with the teacher, SRO and/or principal. Classes will submit their strategies to be reviewed by the SRO and principal.  This is the first exercise in developing awareness in children and staff.

Families are welcome to talk to their children about the drill in advance, should you want to prepare them.  This is not necessary.  You may also want to begin discussions at home about what your expectations are should your child be confronted by someone they don't trust.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Officer Hansell at katy.hansell@sigsbee.org or stop by and see her at school.

PURPLE PINKY DAY TOTALS
We had a great turnout for our Purple Pinky Day drive, sponsored by the Rotary.

Each dollar raised was given a $2.00 match by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, creating a $3.00 donation/student, which will immunize five kids.  Sigsbee School raised $535 so 2675 kids will be immunized.
