Come support our senior presenters. During the week of January 26th, Orwell’s 1984 soared to No.1 on Amazon after Kellyanne Conway described Sean Spicer’s words on the size of the inaugural crowd as “alternative facts.” Students were given the task to find out- Are there similarities in the themes in 1984 and our President and his administration? Join ELA 8H and English 1H students for a fair and balanced  analysis of evidence from 1984 and President Trump's administration.

MS Uniform Shirt Donation
Help us welcome our rising 6th grade students to middle school by donating toward the purchase of the official 6th grade class t-shirt.  
Donation amounts accepted in the front office.  (Ends with close of business on June 3rd or when total cost of shirts has been covered.)

Help Us Inventory: We are looking for a parent to assist with the creation of an inventory spreadsheet.  This volunteer would work in the instructional coach office cataloging all of the Level Literacy Intervention books that we currently have available.  (Needed Skills: Competency with a spreadsheet program like Excel or Google Sheets)- contact Mrs. Hankins at angela.castonguay@sigsbee.org







Key West Sailing Center
Invites you to our Earth Day Event
Saturday, May 20th  
From 9:00am - 12:00pm
705 Palm Ave, Key West
All ages welcome!  Wear your swimsuit!  Bring a trash bag… this is an Earth Day Clean UP event followed by a cookout!

Starting at 9am, we will load up the boats and head out to Rat Key.  Kayaks will be available to borrow from Divers Direct.  Life vests will be provided and snorkeling gear will be available.  Come have a great time and help keep our waters beautiful.  After cleaning up the mangroves and water, we will provide food and water for a celebration cookout at noon!

SIGSBEE SCOOP Respect, Responsibility, Resilience January 16- January 22, 2017 WEEK AT A GLANCE: Monday January 16: Holiday: No School Tuesday, January 17: Ecology Club (3:15-4:15 PM) Wednesday, January 18: Enrichment- Early Out Thursday, January 19: SCS Board Meeting (4:00- 5:00 PM) Friday, January 20: Sunday, January 22: 8th grade car wash at VFW (10:00 AM -3:00 PM) A MEMORABLE EVENT AT SIGSBEE CHARTER SCHOOL Because of our transient student body and community, teachers at Sigsbee do not typically get to celebrate their students' elementary careers like most schools.  Many students move away within three years of arriving at Sigsbee.
