The September Coffee Clatch was cancelled due to Irma.  Our new topic for October 4th's meeting will be on building resilience in children, a relevant theme given our post-hurricane restoration.  The Military Family Life Counselors (MFLCs) and Principal Jannes will offer suggestions for how to assess your child's reaction to the event.  Learn how to help your child learn resilience strategies from life's setbacks.

REBUILDING OUR COMMUNITY
WEEKEND OPPORTUNITIES

CLEAN UP ON MRS. MOORE'S STREET (SATURDAY 10:00 AM-2:00 PM)
Calling all Sigsbee families....please help us get Mrs. Moore's home back on its feet. Mrs. Moore is one of our beloved middle school science teachers and "momma" to the neighborhood peacocks and key deer. She needs our help to restore her yard! Bring your bug spray, saws, loppers, gloves, and muscle.  Chainsaws and operators would be huge!
*Due to the condition of the property, we are asking that only middle school aged children or older attend.

We may also help her neighbors as her street has a lot of damage.  The more, the merrier.

CLEAN UP AT BIG PINE ACADEMY (SUNDAY 1:00 PM-4:00 PM)
Big Pine Academy, one of our fellow charter schools, was severely damaged during the hurricane. Principal Hoffman is determined to reopen the school on Monday so that children may return to a sense of normalcy and safety. Please come help us prepare the school for opening.  We will be wiping down classrooms and furniture.

We have cleaning supplies!
