FEDERAL GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES

SCS would like to assist your families while the government shutdown is in place.  For the next month, we will not be sending financial statements to our families and will allow children of government employees to accrue a balance on school related fees (i.e. lunches, enrichment).  In addition, the school will refrain from adding any avoidable costs.  Should the shutdown continue past this time, we will revisit our efforts and work out suitable payment plans.

In the meantime, if any of you require additional assistance, please email the principal (Mrs. Jannes) directly (eli.jannes@sigsbee.org).  Your information will be kept confidential.  We want to be sure all of our children are ready to learn and will help provide any nourishment or supplies needed to accomplish this.

Thank you for your service.

WOUNDED WARRIORS RIDE
Please come out and support the Wounded Warriors as they ride through town on Saturday morning.  SCS students created 60 banners in support of these soldiers.  Our banners are displayed near the entrance to the Sigsbee annex (on North Roosevelt) and at Bayview Park.

Find Mrs. Jannes near the Chevron (White St/Truman) to get an American flag if you need one for the ride.  Soldiers will be starting at 10:30 AM this morning and are expected to be near the school between 10:45-11:15.

Finding Your Accumulated Volunteer Hours

This year, we are tracking family volunteer hours in Focus.  To learn what has been recorded for your family, log on to Focus and follow these steps:
1) Click on My Child
2) Click on Child Info
3) Click on Volunteer Service Hours

Once this screen opens, total the figures in the Time column.  If you have multiple students, you will need to combine the figures from each student's Time column.  Only 10 hours are needed for families who have been with us since August.  For families starting later in the year, your prorated hour requirement was provided in your welcome email from Leslie Rosch.  Please contact her if you need assistance in gaining access to Focus (leslie.rosch@sigsbee.org).
