To wrap up the Month of the Military Child, our staff created this special video message for students.  We 💜our military kids!



FLORIDA STANDARDS ASSESSMENTS
May is the month for mandatory standardized testing in grades 3-8.  This year, the Florida Department of Education condensed the testing window to ensure that instruction was not interrupted for extended periods of time.  As a result, student attendance is especially important in the next four weeks.

Our solid performance on these assessments provides additional funds for our school, rewards for our hard-working teachers, awards for our students, and a school grade that allows us some flexibility to make instructional decisions based on the needs of our students.  Please make sure your child is in-school, on-time and ready to do their best.  You can help your child succeed by ensuring that they are well-fed, in bed early, and encouraged to "show what they know".  See this month's testing calendar below:

Date: Saturday, May 4th
Parade Line Up: 11:00-11:30 AM @ Customs House
Parade Start: 12 PM
Awards Ceremony: 1:00 PM @ Truman Waterfront Park Amphitheater
Dress: Wear a Sigsbee shirt, good walking shoes, and you may want to wear a hat
To Bring: Don't forget water and sunscreen!
Transportation: the responsibility of the student.
Chaperones: Mrs. Wahlgren, Mrs. Moore, Mrs. Brierley
