Hurricanes in Paradise-
Did you know that Sigsbee has a hurricane preparedness section on our website? And that we follow the Monroe County School District for school closings?
You can visit: https://www.sigsbee.org/families/storm-prep for information about how to prepare, how to stay in communication with the school, and what to do with your children.
Thank you to all of the service members who are deploying for the relief effort in the Bahamas. We appreciate you!
Grades 5-8
Sponsored by the KW Youth Lacrosse League
Coached by KWHS Boys' Lacrosse Coach: Jake Luce
We are excited to offer this year's lacrosse clinics at no charge, thanks to the sponsorship of the KW Youth Lacrosse League. The clinics are designed for lacrosse enthusiasts and students who want to try the sport for the first time. They will take place on the turf field across from Sigsbee from 4:30-6:00 PM, starting on September 9th and running for 10 Mondays.
Students should bring sticks, mouth guards and gloves (boys) if they have them. Sticks may be borrowed for those who don't own one yet. All students who wish to participate, must have a parent/guardian fill out the form prior to starting.
MIDDLE SCHOOL BAND
A note from Mr. Hendricks:
The Sigsbee Band is getting off to a flying start! Sixth Grade students that are joining the band will have practices for beginners after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4:00. Our first practice together will be on Thursday, September 5. If your 6th grader has an instrument already, please have them bring it. If they do not have one yet, please have them come anyway and I will give them the necessary information. Any 7th or 8th Grade students that would like to join band are welcome also!
For any band member that has previously been in the band and doesn't have Band for an elective, we will be having after school practices on Mondays until 4:00 starting on Monday, September 16.
I'm excited for this year!!!
Sign up after morning meeting or in the cafeteria!
