GLOBAL PLAY DAY:  WEDNESDAY
“You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation.”
-Plato

Who?: All students and staff in grades K-8 along with 500,000 students around the world.
What?: A day of uninterrupted, self-directed play with NO ELECTRONICS.  There will be no formal instruction, testing or use of electronics- including the teachers.
When?: Wednesday, February 5th (all day in elementary school and a portion of the day in middle school)
Where?: In all classrooms and around the school
How?: Bring your toys, games, building blocks, art materials, trucks, cars, boxes, puzzles and board games - as long as you are willing to share.  These items should not be valuable (no trading cards please).
Why?:  Today's youth are spending much more time on electronics both in educational settings and at home.  We want to focus an entire day on social interactions and imaginative play as we recognize the importance of this engagement on learning and creativity.  We encourage you to continue this at home!

Please remember that students are never allowed to bring any toys that look like weapons to
school-no guns, knives, swords, etc.

We are looking forward to an unforgettable day!
