Kindergarten families- The video linked above (click on the title) will hold us over until students can return to campus. Please spend 15 minutes listening to Mrs. Jannes talk about things you can do to help your child succeed in kindergarten. Welcome to Sigsbee! We are all excited to meet your little ones.
LOGGING ON TO SCHOOL
Last week, each family was sent an email from Mrs. Rosch, including directions for how to log onto all platforms needed for Home Learning and beyond. Once you carefully follow the directions and persevere through the steps, Home Learning will become much easier. If you did not receive this email (check your SPAM first), contact Leslie.rosch@sigsbee.org
Teachers also sent out welcome emails with many links for Meet the Teacher (last Thursday), Zoom Meetings (Monday and Tuesday) and conference sign-ups (Monday and Tuesday). It is important for all families to select a 10 minute slot to meet with your child's teacher. This will give your child an opportunity to have the teacher's undivided attention before launching into a full day of whole group classes. These check-ins were created to replicate the individual attention that we make sure to offer each child in a typical year and especially in the first days. We hope this "soft start" will make every child more comfortable with our unusual first day of school.
Additionally, Monday and Tuesday will include Team Meetings (Team Huddles) to start building community as a class. We encourage parents to listen in during these times as many teachers will help students and their parents learn to navigate Zoom, Google Classroom and SeeSaw.

DEVICE AND SUPPLY PICK UP
Thank you or waiting patiently and pleasantly while we delivered over 460 devices and bags of supplies on Friday. The next few days will be spent making sure that everyone becomes proficient in logging into Zoom.
Remember, you must be logged in with your child's Sigsbee account in order to get into the waiting room of any of Sigsbee's closed meetings. If you are being asked to enter a password, it is likely that you are not signed into Zoom with your child's account. Follow the directions on Mrs. Rosch's email for guidance.
If you did not pick up a device on Friday, please make arrangements to come to school early this week. The staff wants all students on school devices so that they can help navigate any technology issues they may have. If you do not have base access, you will have to email Mrs. Roberts (lynn.roberts@sigsbee.org) to make arrangements.
If you have base access, please be sure that you are contacting Mr. Schwermer (jay.schwermer@sigsbee.org) before coming to campus. Remain in your car and make sure you have a mask. We will bring the materials to you.
