8th Grade Families

Key West High School Counselors will be at SCS on Wednesday, March 3rd to create preliminary schedules with your students.  Below is a link to sign up for an appointment.  Parents are welcome to attend their child's appointment.  However, you must be wearing a face covering at all times and remain 6' from other students and families.  We will set up our library/media center to accommodate this and ask that families do not linger on campus before or after their appointments.

The link to sign up is:

This year, due to Covid, orientation is virtual for both Key West High School and Somerset Academy.  Below are the links for orientation:

FAIR WINDS AND FOLLOWING SEAS

Please see below for some information from two of our staff members.  We never get used to the feeling of losing part of our Sigsbee family.

FROM NURSE SWEENEY

Dear Sigsbee Families,

It is with great sadness that I share my resignation with you.  I have been part of the Sigsbee family for many years and I have loved every minute of it.  I am thankful to have taken part in the health and safety of your children.  It has been a delight watching many of them grow into the people they are today.  We are very fortunate to have Chanda Walls joining the Sigsbee family as the new nurse.  She is very capable and comes to us with school nursing experience.  Please welcome her as she does her best to take care of our Sigsbee students.

FROM ART TEACHER MILLER
It is with sadness that I must announce my resignation from my position as art teacher here at Sigsbee. Though it was a short time, it was one of the best schools I have ever worked for! It is time for me to move on as life pulls me in another direction. I wish a happy end to everyone’s school year! I will miss you all!
Nicole

Note- we have an art teacher identified for this position and are working on expediting his relocation so that there is not an interruption in services.

 SAVE THE DATE VOCABULARY PARADE

More information will be forthcoming from your child's teachers.  This is one of the most delightful and creative parades you will ever see.  The Vocabulary Parade will livestream on Facebook live.  Stand by for details and start imagining.....

Take Home Meals- access this survey if you would like your child to bring home food for other children in your household, on the weekends, or if you are virtual and want to pick up food.
